- The Bullets were known as a fast-
- breaking team (moving the ball upcourt
- quickly for the score before the opposing
- team has a chance to set up its
- defense), and Wes was the man who
- got it started. He did this by always being
- in the right place to rebound an
- opponentΓÇÖs missed shot. When the ball
- bounced off the rim, Wes would jump up
- with his elbows pointed outward (to
- keep his opponents away) and grab the
- ball. Then, with his famous passing
- style -- holding the ball with two hands
- over his head -- he would whip off an
- outlet pass to start a fast break and
- allow his team to score an easy basket.
